Open/A division = USTA 4.5+ B Division = USTA 3.5 & 4.0
C Division = USTA 3.0 D Division = USTA 2.5

Fees
There is no entry fee!
Rules
Each team has one assigned match per week (primary week). Weeks run from Saturday through Friday.
Players are allowed a 1-week extension from their primary week to complete each match.
Additional extensions (due to sickness, travel, etc) need to be approved by the competitive
tennis director.
Each designated team captain is responsible for contacting the other team to schedule matches.
Matches should be scheduled by the Wednesday preceding the assigned week of play.
Captains should offer at least 2 available days per week to the opposing team. Once a
mutually agreeable day and time is found, schedule the match.
If a suitable time can't be found during the primary week, teams should set up a time during
the make-up week.
Matches may be played ahead of schedule.
The “home” team is responsible for providing a new can of tennis balls. The competitive
tennis director designates home teams when setting up the draw.
Matches are best of 3 sets, and tied sets will be decided by a 7-point Coman tiebreak.

At least 1 player in each team needs to be an ATC member.
Any disputes/problems should be reported to the competitive tennis director, and they
will be handled case by case.
Players will use courtesy and respect when scheduling matches and during play.
Point System
A winning team receives 14 points for a 2 set win OR 12 points for 3 set win.
A losing team receives 1 point for each game won, up to 8 points.
If there is a tie in regards to wins and losses, the final rankings will be determined by points.
Courts
Players are encouraged to use courts available for Tuesday and Friday tennis. If they do,
they should inform the person running the evening when they make the reservation.
Regular club court fees apply (gold/silver free, members $4, non-members $5).
Players also may play at any courts, in which case players are
responsible for making their court reservations.
Additional Notes:
Defaults
A default occurs when a team does not respond to their opponent's phone calls and emails by
Wednesday of the scheduled week of play. The team taking the default may report a default
and receive 6-0, 6-0 score.
Weather
If a match must be canceled due to rain, team captains must verbally contact each other to
cancel a match. Teams should make every attempt to reschedule the match using the make up
week. If necessary, please schedule a match before the final deadline of December 2.
Deadline
All matches need to be completed and reported by December 2.
Awards
Winners will receive trophies at ATC year-end party on December 3.
